Learn about the payment system here

Pilots are paid for the distance that they have flown. The maximum that they can be paid each week is 400 nautical miles worth. The organised date for paychecks is Saturday of every week, but pilots can arrange to be paid earlier. Being paid earlier does not let you escape the pay cap, which resets every Saturday and after the paycheck. For each set milestone that a pilot reaches, they will rank up and receive more WP per nautical mile logged. The listed pay is the amount you receive for every hundred nautical miles. The following list contains the available ranks and their specifications. New recruits receive the cadet rank.

How do you log a flight?

It can be tedious, but it's satisfying when you get it right.
When you are introduced to the airline, a flight log will be made for you. Within this flight log, you will write down the details of your flight in the format of the template in the guide channel.

How do the ranks work?

When you log flights, I keep track of your total flight time in a spreadsheet. When you hit 30 minutes of logged flight, you instantly get promoted, and you'll be paid the corresponding amount in the next week.

What happens when the maximum rank is reached?

Once over 60 minutes have been logged, you will be encouraged to get your multi-engine license and an invite to Air New Zealand will be sent. Due to your prior experience, the captain rank will grant you second officer in Air New Zealand.
