This is Air New Zealand's

Fleet

Boeing 747-400

The 747-200 was first introduced to the airline in 1981, and replaced by the 747-400 in 1990. The -200 was retired in 2000, and the -400 was retired in 2014. I personally adore this plane, so I added it to the fleet without any question. Obviously, it is our flagship aircraft.

Boeing 727-200

The 727 is a very nice looking plane and was never in the fleet, but I added it to give us some variety in engine position. (Thank goodness this isn't real life, otherwise it would strike up costs in maintenance)

Boeing 787-9

The Dreamliner is in the fleet in real life, so I found it imperitive that I added it. I've never been on one myself, and have rarely seen it.

Boeing 777-300ER

The iconic triple seven is a very common plane that many airlines use. It has been around for quite a while and is just about everywhere, including in Air New Zealand's fleet.

Boeing 767-300ER

The 767 was brought into the airline in 1991 and was retired in 2017. I only barely remember the few times that I flew on the 767, I loved the winglet so much.

Airbus A321neo

Heading into the Airbus category, we have the A321neo. The A321neo entered service with Air New Zealand in 2018, and is used on international routes, but never domestic routes.

Airbus A320neo

This variant of the A320 is more fuel efficient and is used on longer routes than the A320-200. Like the A321neo, it only flies internationally out of New Zealand.

Airbus A320-200

Air New Zealand is slowly replacing these with the A320neos & A321neos. In-game, they are fantastic aircraft with extremely detailed modeling.

Boeing 737-700

In real life, Air New Zealand had the 737-300 between 1998 and 2015. We've put the 737-700 into the fleet recently as it's very nicely compatible with liveries and advanced customisation. The 737-700 is visually and statistically the closest to the 737-300. While Aeronautica does have both, only the -700 has livery capabilities.

ATR 42-600

Avions de Transport Regionale is possibly my favourite company in the world, second only to Air New Zealand of course. The ATR 72-600 is my favourite plane, and I happen to know a lot about it. I won't bore you with the details, so here is the 72. The 42 is a shorter version, we're using this one because Aeronautica doesn't have the 72-600
...yet

deHavilland Canada DHC Dash 8 400

That name is very confusing and I just chucked in everything that people call it. I sure hope some nerd doesn't try to correct me... Anyway, the Dash 8 400 is what we've replaced the 300 with. We're doing this because Aeronautica doesn't have the 300 but they do have the 400. In the picture is the 300.

British Aerospace 146-300

Commonly referred to as the BAe 146-300, this four engined yet small aircraft joined Air New Zealand after the collapse of Ansett. Air New Zealand recieved these aircraft in 2001... only to retire them in 2002. Not a very long time.

Lockheed L-188 Electra

The Electra first entered service with Air New Zealand back in 1959 when Air New Zealand was better known as TEAL, (Tasman Empire Airways Limited). TEAL was bought by Air New Zealand and in 1972 they retired these aircraft. Why have I added them to the fleet if they were no use after the early 70s? In Aeronautica, the L-188 is a rather modern model, with doors that open, and stairs that follow. The aircraft is also capable of handling high resolution liveries, and has detailed detail kits. Funny that...
